About Parallax

A closed community for physicians thinking about what comes next.

It brings together a real-name peer community, perspective from physician leaders, and career tools built for medicine rather than adapted from another industry.

The team

Physician leaders who publish for the community, moderate the discussion, and connect members with coaching and executive search support.

What the community is

A closed, real-name room for career conversations in medicine - not a public network. Membership is verified before access is granted, every post carries the author's own name, and the discussion is moderated by the Parallax team.

Members work through career decisions with peers who have faced the same ones, read perspective from Dr. Cantor, Dr. Blattner and Brandon Freeman, browse the member directory and join live sessions. Career tools sit alongside the discussion: an AI coach for thinking a question through, a clarity baseline, and resume and interview support. When a decision needs a person on the other side, coaching and mentoring from the Cantor Group network is there.

Our story

The History of Parallax Collaborative

Parallax Collaborative began with a simple idea: physicians should have the opportunity to build careers that are as fulfilling as they are meaningful.

This concept grew out of conversations with physicians at different stages of their careers. Again and again, we heard similar questions: Am I getting what I want out of my career? What else could I be doing? How do I continue to grow? And what might the next chapter look like?

Those conversations revealed an opportunity to create something physicians rarely have: a trusted place to step outside the demands of day-to-day practice, connect with peers, explore possibilities, and think intentionally about what they want from their careers. Parallax was initially brought to life through a small cohort of physicians who came together to explore career satisfaction, leadership, personal and professional growth, and opportunities both within and beyond clinical medicine. Their experiences helped shape what Parallax Collaborative is becoming today.

Parallax Collaborative is the next evolution of that idea: an ongoing community designed to help physicians get more from their careers through meaningful connections, practical resources, coaching, career tools, and exposure to new possibilities. We don't believe there is one definition of a fulfilling physician career. For some, it may mean rediscovering satisfaction in clinical practice. For others, it may mean leadership, entrepreneurship, teaching, advising, a portfolio career, or something entirely new.

Our goal is to help physicians discover what fulfillment looks like for them, and give them the community, perspective, and tools to pursue it.
